Health/Strength & Conditioning – Mr. Jenkins
Dear Parents/Guardians of Superstars,
Welcome to the wonderful world of Physical Education/Health here at Somerset Sky Pointe! This year will be filled with excitement and ample activities for your student to enjoy. Allow me to introduce myself and brief you on how this year will go. My name is Coach Jenkins and this is my fourth year teaching at Sky Pointe. I am an alumnus of Old Dominion University and Texas State University.
I am fully aware of the differences in size, ability, and maturity levels during the school years. We as a staff aim to keep kids healthy, active, full of energy and prepared to live the fullest and happiest lives possible. We strive for active participation and maximal effort from every child. PE/Health takes place every day for each student, in which they will be exposed to a number of team sports/games, physical fitness skills/information, and nutrition information. The year will be divided into 3-week units in which students will learn basic skills and strategies to help them move on to actual game playing situations and life skills that aide in a healthy and active lifestyle
Your child's grade in strength & conditioning is highly dependent on their attitude, effort, and level of participation in class. In health, participation is just as important as turning in assignments by the due date.
I look forward to a fit, fun, and fantastic year with both you and your student. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please feel free to contact me by clicking on the contact button at the top right of the page.
